Thirty-two gamblers were rounded up by 15 soldiers from a peace-keeping force in a raid on Saturday night on an entertainment venue in Bangkok's Huay Khwang district that had been turned into a gambling den, media reports said. The raid, which was launched at 9.30pm, on the entertainment place named Carnation on Thiam Ruam Mit road, was led by Lt Veerayut Pengchan, a company commander in the 2nd Infantry Battalion. Kitti Sae Lo, 50, the attendant of the gambling den, and four Cambodian men, who were gambling bankers, were arrested. They were charged with illegally operating a gambling den without permission. Lt Veerayut said the raid was carried out following complaints from residents in the area.
